2010 Candidate Bulletin
The third CBCCT exam will be offered Tuesday September 14 & Wednesday September 15, 2010. To receive the 2010 Candidate Bulletin and application click on the “Send me an Application” link above or view it on line by clicking the Certification / Forms and Templates link in the left column. The regular application deadline is May 28th with an $895 registration fee and the final deadline is July 23rd with a $1095 registration fee.
Updates on Eligibility for 2010
The CBCCT eligibility criteria for cardiology and nuclear medicine specialists adhere to the ACCF/AHA Clinical Competence Statement on Cardiac Imagining with Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance (Vol. 46 No 2, 2005). Note that the competency criteria related to case-based experience has been permanently adopted by the ACC, and will not lapse in 2010 as originally scheduled. For details see

Fellows/Residents who have not yet taken their Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiology boards yet are permitted to sit for the CBCCT exam provided they are in their penultimate year of training and will be in their final year of training at the time of the exam. Such candidates will apply as “Testamurs” and will be granted full Diplomate status upon successful completion of their primary boards and the CBCCT boards. It is the responsibility of the Candidate to provide CBCCT with documentation of passing their primary boards.
2010 is the last year the Alternate Pathway will be available. The Alternate Pathway is for Candidates who have extensive experience in cardiac CT, but are board certified in a specialized area other than Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiology.
