Upon successful completion of the CBCCT exam, you will have Testamur status until provision of material documenting board certification in Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiology and a copy of your medical license are sent to CBCCT. You will have two examination cycles in your specialty to obtain certification, after which your Testamur status will lapse and the CBCCT examination must be retaken to become a Diplomate.

  • Training Outside the U.S. - If your training was taken outside of the U.S. you are required to submit evidence of certification from an equivalent medical specialty board in Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiology in your country of practice accompanied by a description of the training and certification requirement in your country.

  • Not Board Certified in Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiology - If you have substantial cardiac CT experience and you hold certification from a recognized subspecialty board other than Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiology then you may apply to sit for the CBCCT exam provided all conditions specified under the The Alternate Pathway option are met. The Alternate Pathway is available only through the administration of the 2010 exam. This category is not meant for individuals in Cardiology Fellowship or Nuclear Medicine or Radiology Residency programs who have not completed their training. These individuals must apply thought the Standard Pathway once their training has been completed.
